Boys Reading in a nutshell - The Boys Reading project aims to make reading an integral part in the life of boys aged 10-15, who are currently unenthusiastic about books. Boys Reading asserts that this can only be achieved if teenage boys acquire control over their reading and choose from books that address their needs and interests. In one of five EU countries 15-year-olds have poor reading skills (OECD), while the majority of poor and reluctant readers and eventually high-school drop-outs are male youths.

CARDET announces the 7th Innovative Learning Environments conference to take place on Saturday October 18, 2014 (8:30am to 2:00pm) at the UNESCO amphitheatre of the University of Nicosia. The event is organized by CARDET, the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, and the School of Education and the UNESCO Chair of the University of Nicosia.

On November 25, 2014, CARDET delivered a Webinar in Collaboration with the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, as part of the Innovative Schools Program. During the presentation and discussions, Dr. Vrasidas presented and discussed lessons learned from more than 15 EU funded projects. CARDET in Kooperation mit FFST aus Kroatien und Partnereinrichtungen aus Österreich, Portugal, Griechenland und Rumänien arbeiten gemeinsam an dem Projekt Boys Reading, das im Rahmen des ERASMUS+ Programms (Strategische Partnerschaften) von der Europäischen Kommission ausgewählt wurde. Das Starttreffen fand von 30.-31. Oktober 2014 in Split, Kroatien statt. Dabei wurde der Projektplan diskutiert und gemeinsam mit den Partnern beschlossen.
